We are proud to announce that NAMI Southeastern Arizona (NAMISEAZ) was honored as a finalist for the 2024 Community Impact Award at the Sky Islands Regional Partnership Annual Gala, held on April 25, 2024. This recognition underscores our unwavering commitment to providing no-cost advocacy, education, and support to individuals and families affected by mental illness throughout Southeastern Arizona.

The Community Impact Award
The Community Impact Award is one of the most prestigious honors given annually by the Sky Islands Regional Partnership. It highlights nonprofit organizations that demonstrate innovation, compassion, and lasting community engagement. To qualify, an organization must be a registered 501(c)(3), be active in the region for at least five years, and show significant influence through its programs and services.
This year, Cochise Family Advocacy Center – Lori’s Place was awarded 1st Place. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to their team for the outstanding work they do in supporting victims of abuse and trauma in Cochise County.
About the Sky Islands Regional Partnership
The Sky Islands Regional Partnership is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to promoting business and providing leadership for community improvement across Southern Arizona. Formerly known as the Sierra Vista Area Chamber of Commerce, the Partnership rebranded to better reflect its expanded regional focus, encompassing communities such as Douglas, Willcox, and Benson. Its mission is to foster economic vitality and collaboration among local businesses, civic leaders, and nonprofit organizations .
NAMISEAZ Mission and Impact
Founded in 2002 and affiliated with the National Alliance on Mental Illness, NAMI Southeastern Arizona provides free support, education, and advocacy to individuals and families affected by mental illness. Our services are offered across Cochise, Graham, and Greenlee counties and include support groups, community presentations, and evidence-based education programs like Family-to-Family and Peer-to-Peer.
Our mission is simple but powerful: To improve the quality of life for all those impacted by mental illness, through support, education, and advocacy.
Being named a finalist for this award affirms our belief that mental health matters in every community. We are honored to be recognized among so many impactful organizations and remain deeply committed to the people we serve.
