March for Mental Health: A Community Comes Together in Southeastern Arizona

On a beautiful spring day, Southeastern Arizona showed up with heart, hope, and purpose for the 12th Annual March for Mental Health. From colorful banners and powerful conversations to inspiring music and life-saving resources, this year’s event was a vibrant reminder that we are not alone — and that mental health matters.

Held in Sierra Vista, the March brought together local families, businesses, nonprofits, healthcare providers, and advocates from all walks of life. With over two dozen resource tables, community members had the chance to connect with services ranging from crisis support and youth mental health education to addiction recovery, peer support, and family counseling.

Honoring Those Who Make It Possible

We were deeply honored to recognize Kathy Bashor, President of the Arizona Peer & Family Coalition, as this year’s Honorary Chairperson. Kathy’s tireless advocacy continues to impact mental health systems statewide and inspire our work locally.

Live music from Bisbee’s Gypsy Piano Blues added a festive spirit to the event, while an in-kind donation from Sierra Vista Unified School District helped make the March possible by reducing facility usage fees.
