About Us

Our Mission:

NAMI SEAZ (National Alliance on Mental Illness – Southeastern Arizona) is an affiliate of NAMI, a nationwide organization which has over 600 affiliates in 50 states. NAMI is a non-profit, grassroots organization providing advocacy, education, and support to all those affected by mental illnesses. Since 1994 NAMI SEAZ has been helping individuals with mental health conditions and their families. All of our programs and services are free of charge to the community.

Mental illnesses affect the brain’s ability to function normally. These mental disorders are like any other medical condition. They are common and treatable.

EDUCATION

NAMI Southern Arizona educates individuals with mental health conditions, their family members, and the public. Our ongoing goals are to overcome the ignorance, misinformation, misconceptions and apathy that prevent true understanding and meaningful help from reaching persons with serious mental illness. We are dedicated to ridding our community of stigma and inexperience. We offer free access to an extensive outreach mental health library provided by funds from the Arizona Lottery.
The library is located at the Warrior Healing Center at 1838 Paseo San Luis in Sierra Vista.
